When I was pondering what skin goal to share
this year, the phrase "face your skin" came to mind. This phrase was coined out of a popular Nigerian phrase "face your front". It's a saying that means several things in Nigeria — "focus on yourself", "worry about yourself,” “Look ahead,” or "mind your
business". This year the goal should be to focus on your own skin health. Your friends
skincare routine may not be compatible with your skin, or tricks found
on the internet may cause havoc on your skin. So, "face your skin!"
You are unique, and your skin is unique, so do what works for you and cautiously approach trends you find on the internet. However, we always recommend you contact a licensed Skincare professional first for a through
consultation and customized treatments. We are always happy to serve, contact us with any questions via email hello@kreme,ng or schedule a virtual skincare consultation with our licensed esthetician.
Long time no review. I have been eager to share
my opinion on Salitair body washes for a while now but life happens. Usually, I tilt towards non fragrance skincare
products because fragrance filled products usually give a headaches or worse
break me out. Well the good news is one body wash did not break me out. The bad
news is the other body wash broke me out. To find out which, click here.
Today is officially first day of the fall season for us which also means IT'S PEEL SEASON.
In general, some chemical peels can be done anytime of the year when proper protocol( by practitioner &clients) and post peel instructions is adhered to by clients. However for us on this side of the pond, this is the time of the year we offer more chemical peels because the weather is cooler, most people are in doors for the most part and can follow all pre and post instructions to get optimum results.
Frequently, clients ask if and why they should get peels. In general, most people can benefit from a personalized chemical peel.
Chemistry peels results in :
Improved texture of the skin, barrier function and moisture retention
Increased CRF, hydration and intracellular lipids
Reduced fine lines and surface pigmentation
Improved skin conditions such as acne, hyperpigmentation, clogged pores and dry skin.
Potentially stimulating collagen and elastin.
Other FAQS I get concerning peels are
Will it make make me darker? No. If you visit the licensed professional and follow protocol you should not get darker.
Will it burn my skin? No. You should not get burned if you visit a licensed professional.
Are chemical peels bleaching? NO. No trained and licensed professional should use harmful protocols on you.
The morale of the story, visit a licensed professional for appropriate treatment.

You are what you eat or in this case what you drink. We are constantly fascinated with topical antioxidants and we sometimes forget to approach skincare holistically. Generally food that is good for your body is good for your skin so it is important to incorporate a healthy diet as often as possible. For example, vitamin A deficiency in the skin causes dry skin that heals poorly and wrinkles easily. The main source of Vitamin A are foods from animals. Some plants such as carrots supply a precursor to vitamin A called beta carotene that is converted to Vitamin A by the body as needed. Some years ago, I had to visit a nutritionist due to some health concerns and on her recommendation was adding carrot juice to my diet as often as possible. It honestly made a huge difference. However it may be an acquired taste for some so I usually recommend adding freshly squeezed orange juice to cut through the taste with the additional benefits of Vitamin C. So what is your favorite juice? Do you have any special recipes?
