COSRX HYLARONIC ACID INTENSIVE CREAM

In October I updated my current skincare routine to include COSRX HYLARONIC ACID INTENSIVE CREAM as my daytime moisturizer. As much as I liked the formulation, I found it a little too intensive for day so I decided to add it to my night routine and it worked out well.

COSRX hyaluronic acid intensive creams and moisture cream filled with moisture renting ingredients such as Hippophae Rhamnoides and hyaluronic acid as well as components that suppress water loss

 ACTIVE INGREDIENTS

Hippophae Rhamnoides water:  protects the skin against harmful or irritating factors. It constitutes vitamin C, vitamin E, amino acids and flavanols.

Sodium hyaluronate: used as a humectant to increase moisture in the skin.

Sunflower seed oil :used as a carrier oil. smoothen and softens the skin. This oil is considered a non-comedogenic oil

Glycerin: A humectant used in moisturizer. It is water binding and able to draw water from the air, thus helping the skin retain moisture.

HOW TO USE IT

I use it in the PM. I cleanse tone, apply my essence and treatment, then seal it with the HYLARONIC face cream.

This moisturizer would complement dry skin, mature skin and sensitive skin. However, I would not recommend this face cream to oily skin or anyone with acne.

 PACKAGING

Cute package.  It comes in a screw top and a second lid where a small spatula is inserted. The spatula is used to scoop product of the jar to prevent contamination of the entire product.  Fantastic!!!

 REPURCHASE:

I would purchase it in the winter months because my skin needs the extra moisture during this season. If you have dry skin, you can use this product year round

CONCLUSION

 PROS

1 it is very moisturizing. 

2 Softens my skin the minute I apply it.

3. This product did not cause any break outs

4. Perfect for winter months when the skin is faced with harsh weather, this product reduces any sensitivity or dryness caused by the adverse weather

 CONS

This product was too thick for daytime/warmer climate.  When I applied it during the day, my skin felt “heavy” (for lack of a better way to describe it). It hugged my face, making me feel hot and a little uncomfortable when I wore it out in the sun so I switched it tonight time and it was a lot better.

 

I would definitely recommend this product during the winter /cold months especially if you have dry skin other than that I would advise a little caution if you are oily or have acne.
