In order to fully understand why I love this lotion so much, first I have to answer the question What is Birch sap?
Birch sap is the liquid that is extracted out of Birch trees. The Birch trees is usually found in Europe and Northern China and its water is tapped usually in the winter and spring. It is chuck full of antioxidants and beneficial ingredients like potassium, vitamin c, zinc and claims to detoxify, hydrate and heal when ingested. When applied topically, it hydrates, retains moisture, antioxidants like vitamin C replenish and brighten skin leaving you with a glow.

A simple plastic bottle with a pump on top ; the bottle is durable but the top comes off easily. My 10 month old effortlessly pulls it off anytime she gets a hold of it so I am not too pleased with the package.

The lotion absorbs immediately after applied
It leaves your skin hydrated almost all day
No burning or stinging
No irritation or breakout
No discoloration; my skin tone was even.
Great for humid climate and the summer months
Its light texture makes it wonderful to layer other products with it without leaving your face feeling heavy.
Recommend for people of colour, especially for those with hyperpigmentation.
There are no CONS in this review because there was not one negative reaction to this product. It has been a positive introduction BIRCH SAP to my skin and piqued my interest in exploring more products formulated with this versatile ingredient.
