My love for this award-winning cleanser, Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing balm started over 2 years ago when I was pregnant, in my first trimester.  I had painful hormonal acne and the rest of my skin was dry and really sensitive so. I had to get a cleanser that would nourish, soothe my skin without any harsh chemicals or acids that may cause harm to my baby or my skin during that delicate period and my search led me to this amazing balm.

It is a cleanser with the consistency of a face cream mixed with oil .it takes off oil, makeup and debris from your skin while nourishing your skin and leaving it revitalized. The cleansing system comes with rosehip exfoliating seeds and cleansing cloth with two different textures on each side . SIDE A , the muslin side is used first to remove makeup and dirt then SIDE B the micro fiber side is used next to clean the skin and mildly exfoliate the skin.

GRAPESEED OIL- it is moisturizing and has nourishing properties because of its high linoleic acid content.

ALMOND OIL- serves as an emollient and carrier, providing an elegant feel and promoting spread ability in creams, oils and lotions.

GLYCERIN-- Glycerin is a fantastic skin softener and humectant (retains moisture) as well as a very strong water binder

CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE- an emollient with good spreading properties. It promotes penetration and does not leave visible traces of oiliness on the skin.

ORANGE PEEL OIL- it has botanical properties in skincare and its considered anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and a sedative making it suitable for sensitive skin

MORINGA SEEDS EXTRACT -it improves the skin conditions, look and feel.

JASIMINE FLOWER OIL- it is a fragrance; that moisturizes, soothes, conditions and heals. It is great for sensitive, dry and also skin with dermatitis.

ROSE FLOWER OIL- it has antiseptic, disinfectant, slightly tonic and soothing properties. It is found helpful in cases of skin redness or inflammation. Rose oil is beneficial to all skin types particularly mature, dry or sensitive skin.

ROSEHIP SEED- Natural abrasive and helps remove dead surface cells so it improves the look, texture and feel

This balm is multifunctional

I use this as a first cleanse to take off make up, then I follow with a cleanser. If I am not wearing makeup I just use the balm and the Cleansing cloth. I take a dime size amount, massage it on my face and my neck. Then I wet my hands a little with warm water then massage my face. The cleanser emulsifies (it changes into a milky substance).

I take the face cloth. Wiping off with side A and then turn over to use side B

After properly Wiping the balm off my skin, I follow with my toner, treatment and moisturizer.

I use the Cleansing balm as my only cleanse.

Followed by toner, essence, vitamin c serum, moisturizers and sunscreen

I take a dime size amount of the balm, massage it on my face and neck. I let it stay on for about 10 to 15 minutes and then I wipe with cloth

In the PM, I cleanse, put another dime size amount in my palm then I sprinkle the rosehip exfoliating seeds to the balm. I then use my finger tips and gradually apply it on my skin. I let it sit on my skin for at least five minutes so my skin absorbs the benefits of the rosehip seeds. After 5min to 10 mins, I massage the balm paying close attention the dry parts of my face and neck. Then I emulsify and wipe off cleanser thoroughly.

Followed by my toner, essence, treatment and moisturizer

I have used this product for 2 years. I alternate sometimes with Tatcha cleansing oil

It’s a very noticeable scent. The neroli and orange peel extract are top notes so it hits your nostrils right away.  If you don’t like fragrance in your skincare products this may not work for you but I will suggest you give this a try it once in your life.

Honestly all skin types can benefit from this balm. If you have severe acne, I suggest you get a sample and seek professional guidance.

Emma Hardie cleansing is a great cleanser for all skin types and it is a fantastic cleanser. I love this product for the following reasons:

  • There balm cleans my skin properly without stripping it

  • It is nourishing

  • I test a lot of products and sometimes my skin can get more sensitive than normal and this usually helps soothe the skin almost immediately

  • During both pregnancies, my skin gets very erratic because of all the hormones present. This cleansing balm did wonders to calm my hormonal skin down

  • It can be integrated with all skincare routines or works for people with little to no skincare

  • routine.

  • Despite the fact that it contains oils, it never leaves your skin feeling greasy

  • Fantastic for taking off make up

  • Its quick and easy to use

  • It doesn't sting or burn my eyes when I use it

  • Works great for all ethnicities

  • It works well with all skin types

The rosehip exfoliating seeds are also a winner; I used it about twice a week and It left my skin feeling smooth. The reason I would recommend the rosehip exfoliating seeds  because it’s very fine so you can rest assured it’s not doing any damage to your epidermis in the name of exfoliation plus it’s great for sensitive skin.
