On the blog today, I started a new category called the Krème de la Krème products, where I would highlight products that are the very best or stand out. These are highly recommended products that have been tested for years, are effective and will always have a place on my counter top. Think about it as the Oscars of skincare. So without further ado, the first product in this category is Estée Lauder's Advanced Night repair synchronized recovery II.
Estée lauder advanced night serum is the bestselling product of Estée lauder for over 30 years, and has won numerous beauty awards. I started using ANR in 2011. I was wedding shopping and I walked passed the beauty department when the sales assistant caught my attention holding this little brown and gold bottle. I stopped to hear the sales pitch and reluctantly bought one because I was a bride to be and wanted to glow on my wedding day. I went home, used it that night and when I woke up I noticed my skin was so soft and hydrated. I continued using it, and in three weeks my skin looked supple, well rested and had a glow despite the crazy stressful Nigerian wedding preparation, and from then on this serum has never left my side.
WHAT IS ESTEE LAUDER ADVANCED NIGHT SERUM?
It is an anti-aging serum that reduces past damage caused by UVA and UVB, pollution and any other deterioration that occurs to skin over time. The formula is meant to reduce the appearance of fine line and wrinkles, sun damage and dehydration the longer you use it, giving your skin a more youthful and fresher appearance.

HOW TO USE IT
When I bought my first bottle, the sales assistant advised that I used it 10 days on, then 10 days off. The formula was revamped sometime in 2013 and when I bought the new formula I started using it every night.
After cleansing, toning, essence I would take a pump full of serum, massage it on my skin; followed by my moisturizer.
FOR SPOT TREATMENT: I would do the above, then apply half a pump to the area I feel acne coming up. For hyperpigmentation, apply half a pump of serum on the area.

I have been using ANR since Nov 2011.

It is fragrance free, although it smells medicinal.

CONCLUSION
Advanced night serum is treatment applied at bedtime, when your skin is at rest and not exposed to harsh conditions. The serum goes to work; repairs the damage that has occurred in the past and, with the help of CHRONOLUX CB, it also purifies the skin. I love this product for the following reasons:
It hydrates your skin instantly and from about three weeks your skin will begin to look brighter, have softer lines and look plump.
