Sheet masks are my favorite part of the 10 step Korean beauty routine. Sheet masks are sheets that are saturated with essence or serums and are designed to deliver hydration and treatment to the skin. It comes in the shape of a face, with eyes, nose and lips cut out. It has been in the Korean skincare culture and it is slowly gaining popularity in the western beauty industry. Sheet mask comes in different forms like fiber sheet mask, hydrogel or bio cellulose face mask, and they can be used to exfoliate the skin, for brightening, for hydration and antiaging. In the future, I will go in depth about the different types of masks, but in this review I will be focusing on hydrogel face mask specifically my current obsession MANEFIT BLING BLING HYDROGEL MASK .
Hydrogel sheet masks are made from gel type texture. The essence or serum are mixed in the gelatin mask during production and it is also saturated with essence and serums. It’s important to note that the essence in the mask is the delivery vehicle for the treatments to absorb skin to deliver results. The goal of the sheet mask is to help keep the product in your skin by preventing evaporation, and because you have to wear it for about 20 minutes your skin absorbs all the moisture from the mask. Personally , I prefer the hydrogel mask over the fiber/paper mask because it stays cooler longer and it is less slippery.

It is a cooling, soothing, antiaging gel mask that nourishes the skin and helps to soften fine lines and wrinkles on the skin.

You can use the sheet mask twice a week, anytime your skin feels dry or right before a special occasion.
Start with cleansing your skin, pat it dry, sweep your toner over your face and then apply your sheet mask.
The hydro gel sheet mask comes in two parts. One for the bottom half of your face and the other for the top have of the face. I usually prefer to put on the lower half first (the mask for the jaw line) and then I apply the top half next. I leave it on for about 20 minutes then I take it off, pat any excess on my skin then I apply my additional serums if I desire and seal it off with my night cream.
TIPS:
I take the excess from the pack and massage it on my neck, chest and hands.
If you have a special event to attend, you can use this right before you apply your makeup and it gives a smooth and glowy finish to makeup.
In the summer months or in a country with humid weather , you can put your mask in the refrigerator for a few minutes before applying. This would add extra oomph to the cooling sensation.
HOW LONG DID I TEST THE PRODUCT?
I have been using hydrogel mask on and off for a year. I tested Mane fit bling bling hydrogel gold mask for a month.

CONCLUSION
Pros:
It was very hydrating
It did not break me out or irritate my skin
I love the cooling effect that it gives my skin
My skin felt firmer just after one treatment
Cons:
This particle mask is antiaging so the active ingredient adenosine made it a little uncomfortable to wear. I put it on and the mask gave a very intense, tingly sensation for the first 10 mins and then it subsided the last 10 minutes
WHAT IS MANEFIT BLING BLING HYDROGEL MASK WHITENING PLATINUM?
This hydrogel mask is similar to the one above but it has an active ingredient that brightens the skin.
DISCLAIMER: The mask does say whitening on the pack, however there are no bleaching agents in this mask. It brightens the skin, fades out hyperpigmentation , and gives the skin an even tone.
ACTIVE INDGREDIENT
Niacinamide – it is a skin smoother and a derivative of vitamin B. it can improve skin elasticity, tone and texture.

CONCLUSION
Pros:
It adhered to my skin well. No slipping
It did not break me out or irritate my skin
My skin stayed hydrated for days.
It gave my skin a healthy glow
I like it because I do not have to worry about contamination because you can only use it once.
The ingredients are not exposed to air therefore it keeps its effectiveness
