Being a mum, it’s not very often you get the chance to pamper yourself. Every once in a while, I like to really treat myself to a home treatment, not only for the benefits it will give my skin but also for the relaxation I feel when I indulge in this process. Whenever I get the chance, and few nights a week I apply a night treatment like Dr Jart+Water fuse water max sleeping mask, just to rejuvenate my skin in addition to my usual Clinique turnaround overnight revitalizing moisturizer. In the morning, my skin looks all rested and plump. My skin is always thankful when I use this night routine.
Another product I really like, but don’t use as often, is Hand Chemistry Extreme Hydration Concentrate. I like to use it as part of my night routine to keep my hands soft and moisturized. Recently, I went back to using my favorite hand cream, which is more like a hand treatment, after a nasty burn from baking. My hand has healed (thank God!) and I got to revitalize and moisturize my hands in the process.
WHAT IS CLINIQUE TURNAROUND OVERNIGHT REVITALIZING MOISTURIZER?
It works overnight to reveal a more luminous skin when you wake up. While you sleep, it encourages skin cells turnover; getting rid of sun damage and uneven skin tone.
ACTIVE INGREDIENTS
There are no ingredients written on the pack or the jar of the cream, which I find a little disappointing. I feel all brands should make it a point to at least include the Active ingredients on the package so customers can make a more informed purchasing decision. The only reason I bought this was because it received high reviews on a lot of other platforms, so I thought that I should test and verify if the results would be the same on people of colour. I will keep researching to get this information and will update as soon as it is available.

Pro:
I like this cream because it is oil free, moisturizes the skin without the heavy feeling.
It’s non comedogenic
My skin feels moisturized immediately.
When I woke up in the morning, my skin felt supple and had a glow.
Cons
It didn’t get rid of any existing sunscreen damage or uneven skin tone.
Overall I liked the moisturizer. I would repurchase for its great moisturizing benefits. Even though It didn’t eradicate my sun spots I liked the way my skin felt after I used it. My hope is that I find out more about the ingredients so I know what additional benefits it possess.
WHAT IS DR JART+WATER FUSE WATER MAX SLEEPING MASK OVERNIGHT TREATMENT?
Dr jart is a Korean skincare brand that was launched by a dermatologist Dr Jung and his friend in 2004. I have tried a couple of Dr jart sheet masks in the past and love it, so I decided to give this sleeping mask a shot. It is an overnight treatment that creates a protective film over your skin while you sleep, boosting hydration, firming, and locking nutrients.

HOW TO USE IT
I double cleanse tone, apply my serums and my Clinique overnight turnaround revitalizing moisturizer. I apply two pumps of the sleeping mask in my palm and lightly apply it on my face. Then I use on pump and apply it to my neck and décolletage.
TIP
This masks applied over your serum and moisturizer helps drive and seal the Active ingredient further into your skin and keeps it from evaporation. Try applying the mask on after exfoliation, which will remove dead skin and debris, open your pores even more to further reap the benefits.

It’s has 9 essential oil blends of lavender, so it smells like lavender. If you mind fragrance this is not for you, but lavender is supposed to aid restful sleep so keep that in mind and it may come in handy for some sleepless night.

It is not sticky
As a mum with a baby I find this pretty convenient. I just apply and go; I don’t have to worry about rinsing off till the AM.

Cons:
It’s hydrates your skin but I prefer the sheet mask. I feel like the sheet mask has a more intense hydrating effect than the sleeping mask.

It hydrates and soothes to your hand immediately
It is more like a gel treatment than a hand cream.
It’s is not greasy and thick like other hand creams so it can be used in any climate, country or season
Last winter the skin on my hands were sensitive and I had cuts all over. I started using this hand cream, and by day two felt and saw a lot of improvement on my skin. It was completely healed by day 10.
A week ago I burnt my hand in the oven and I used this cream, and I immediately felt relief from the burn.
