SHANGPREE S.ENERGY FACIAL MOUSSE CLEANSER

Shangpree skincare products was one of the first Korean beauty products I tested when I started my musings of K beauty. SHANGPREE spa  located in Seoul ,Korea has been featured in Vogue, Forbes and the likes ,as one of the best spas in Seoul Korea. The treatments offered are said to be one of the best in the world,  partly because their estheticians are put through rigorous training and are only allowed to cater to clients after 3 years of training. This triggered my curiosity, and I wished so bad that Seoul was like  30mins away from where I live so I could experience its luxury. Anyway,  since I couldn’t make it to Seoul, I figured I could bring a little bit of Shangpree spa to me by ordering a couple products. One of them was the SHANGPREE S. ENERGY FACIAL MOUSSE CLEANSER.

 

SHANGPREE S. ENERGY FACIAL MOUSSE CLEANSER (CLAIM)

This ultra-gentle foam cleanser removes impurities from your skin without stripping the skins moisture barrier. It is infused with S. energy complex that leaves skin revitalized.  

ACTIVE INGREDIENT

ENERGY COMPLEX :cell nutrition formula of skullcap Callus culture, oxygen and violet herbal complex. It improves skin cells physiology to help facilitate regeneration and restore youth to aging skin.

GLYCERIN: Glycerin is a fantastic skin softener and humectant (retains moisture) as well as a very strong water binder

LAVENDER EXTRACT: all-purpose ingredient with many therapeutic properties. It is anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antiseptic, energizing, soothing, healing of stimulating.

HOW TO USE IT

In the PM, I use it as a second cleanse I Dispense about two pumps in my palm then I massage it on my damp skin. I take a damp warm washcloth and rinse it off.

In the AM, I use sometime as my first and only cleanse I damp my face, massage a pump of cleanser into my skin and rinse of using a warm washcloth.

HOW LONG DID I TEST THE PRODUCT?

I bought this cleanser in December 2015. I used it for a couple weeks then I got excited about another product so I put this aside. I recently ran out of my previous tester cleanser and decided to go back to this product the last month. In total 4 -5weeks

FRAGRANCE

Lovely and mild  lavender fragrance

Not recommended for dry skin or mature skin.

PACKAGING

The design of this product has changed since I bought it. The current package has a logo and blue fonts instead of green. However, the dispenser is still the same and the size is the same.

I like the dispenser and the package. It’s spill proof and portable.

CONCLUSION

Pro

It is gentle on the skin and not stripping like other foaming cleansers.

My skin felt soft after cleansing

It spreads easily over the face and neck

A little goes a long way

Personally if given a choice between fragrance and non-fragrance products; I usually tend towards the non-fragrance but in this case I didn’t mind the fragrance at all. The fragrance is light and airy and I looked forward to using it in the PM because it leaves me relaxed and ready for bed.

Cons

The price. It’s slightly more expensive than the average k beauty product and double the price of a drugstore brand.
